Department Head Details

Moving a Department Head
A member can only be the Department Head over one department at a time. If they are offered the Department Head position by the Board for another department then they have the choice to give up their current Department Head position for the other position. In Clan Ops, if the President is offered another department and they choose to take it, they do so with the understanding that they will be recycled down in rank to a Sergeant, should they choose to stay in Clan Operations. This is done so that others have the chance to rank up without additional wait time.

Checking In
Department Heads should actively be coming up with goals for their specific department, and are to present these ideas and how they are going to work on achieving them, to the Board member over their section. Department Heads should be meeting with their Board members a minimum of once per month, although there may be more than that.

Promoting to a Department Head
Members can only be promoted to the rank of Department Head by a recommendation from the Board member overseeing your department to the entire Board at the Board Meetings. The Board will then discuss this recommendation and the pro's/con's of that member being promoted. The final decision will be made by vote.
